Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy
We can't change the past, but we can change its impact on us. Often, past memories collide with our present experience, causing emotional distress. Together, we will identify and reprocess current and foundational memories and help build new positive, adaptive memory networks. This will bring relief and resolution in the present, and resilience and hope for the future. EMDR helps:
Reprocess upsetting memories and experiences that are still impacting your present-day functioning.
Reprocess patterns that are understood on a cognitive level but are hard to change on an emotional and behavioral level.
Anxiety
Feelings of anxiety, such as a pervasive sense of unease, worry, or racing thoughts, can be our body's SOS signal. It’s an invitation to explore what needs our attention. I will work with you holistically to identify the causes of your anxiety and the emotions you're experiencing as a result.
EMDR resourcing and mindfulness techniques to support you in feeling calm and grounded.
Distress tolerance and emotion regulation skills to process intense emotion and feel more equipped to handle stressful situations when they arise.
Exploring the systems and structures in your life that may be creating prolonged anxiety. Empowering change where possible by building relational skills around needs and boundaries to help reduce stress.
Adult ADHD
Those who identify with ADHD are often highly creative, with an abundance of ideas, and big-picture connections. They can also struggle with managing their time, organizing daily life, and experiencing strong emotions. If any of these experiences resonate with you, therapy may help you:
Regulate strong emotions.
Develop effective time management and organizational skills.
Address behaviors such as procrastination and perfectionism.
Process the experiences and impact of ADHD on worthiness and self-esteem.
Worthiness + Self-Esteem
There are many factors that contribute to worthiness and self-esteem. Together we will clarify your self-concept timeline and illuminate the many facets of your authentic self.
Exploring your sense of meaning and belonging through clarifying values and beliefs.
Bringing awareness to the social conditioning shaped by familial, societal, and generational influences.
Recognizing your experience within your present-day systems and their impact on the self.
