Philosophy and Approach

My work is influenced by Sue Johnson and Leslie Greenberg's attachment-based Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Kirsten Neff’s Mindful Self-Compassion. My approach is culturally sensitive, warm, and pragmatic. Each of us processes the world differently and I support clients to build tools for healing and growth while feeling heard, seen, and affirmed. I utilize strengths-based, mindfulness-oriented, and intersectional methods, guiding you toward meaningful well-being. As a French-Persian American therapist, I am particularly passionate about working with first-generation Americans, third-culture individuals, and those who may feel lost or marginalized by the mainstream narrative of society.

The resilience of the human spirit inspires me, and it is a privilege to witness the transformative and healing power of human connection. I believe that just as we can be wounded in relationships, we can also heal in them. My training in modern psychodynamics holds the relationship between client and therapist as a space of non-judgment, compassion, and an opportunity to process and make sense of the challenges you face.
